The long time surf brand WEST has recently developed a new fabric that is made up of:
85% recycled plastic water bottles
15%bamboo fibres
Making this material a very eco friendly development. West are labeling this new material “ECOLYCRA” and have used it in some of their rash vests this season.

SEWAGE SPILL-600 gallons of raw sewage from a broken sewer line south of Hobson County Park dumped into the ocean—of course I surfed there yesterday and I was watching all these monster trucks working on the road thinking to myself, ‘I wonder what is going on.’

Despite being the world’s biggest fish, very little’s known about whale sharks. They can grow up to 12 metres long and are related to great whites, but they’re far less scary. To eat, they swim about with their huge mouths open so they can scoop up whatever tasty treats are floating in their path.

A surfboard that had been hollowed out, packed with bricks of marijuana then glued back together was found by Border Patrol agents Wednesday while patrolling a beach in close proximity to the international border fence in Imperial Beach, California.
